The Mildura Field Days are nearly here, and if you enjoy a good wander through everything from farming gear and local industry to food, family entertainment and a bit of country atmosphere, this is one worth penciling into the calendar.
The 2026 Mildura Field Days will be held on Friday May 15 and Saturday May 16 at the Mildura Racecourse. Gates open from 9am to 5pm on Friday and 9am to 4pm on Saturday. The official site also notes parking is in the centre of the racing track, with disabled parking at the main gate.
One thing I like about the Field Days is that it is not just for farmers. Yes, there is plenty there for people in agriculture, horticulture and machinery, but it is also the sort of event where locals can go for a stickybeak, catch up with people, see what is new, grab a bite to eat and let the kids burn off some energy. There will be music, demonstrations and presentations on the main stage, along with a playground, face painting and the Future Farmers Walk for the young ones.
If past years are anything to go by, there will be a pretty broad mix of exhibitors too. The official exhibitor information highlights everything from machinery and agricultural services through to community groups, lifestyle products and local organisations, which is part of what makes it a good all-round day out rather than a narrowly focused trade event. (Find the official program here)
The Field Days have built a reputation as one of those classic Sunraysia events where town and country come together. You get the practical side of things, the latest products and services, plenty of local knowledge, and that relaxed regional feel that we do pretty well around here. For visitors, it is also a nice little reminder that Mildura is not just about the river and wineries. Agriculture and the industries around it are a huge part of this region’s story, and events like this put that front and centre.
So whether you are seriously in the market for equipment, keen to see what businesses are showcasing,or just feel like a day out with a bit of country flavour, the Mildura Field Days are shaping up as a good one. Keep an eye on the official website for the latest updates on the entertainment schedule and anything else added closer to the event.
