The rally runs from Friday 5 June to Sunday 7 June 2026, with tractor treks, vintage machinery, markets, joy flights provided by Sunraysia Sport Aircraft, displays and a crack at the Australian record for the biggest gathering of Ferguson TEA20 tractors.
These little tractors might not look like much today, but back in 1956 they were super important. When floodwater threatened Wentworth, locals used them to help build levee banks and protect the town. It was hard work, done by everyday people, and it became a big part of Wentworth’s story.
The weekend kicks off on Friday with the Roll In Tractor Trek from Red Cliffs to Wentworth. Saturday includes a 70km Tractor Trek through the district, while Sunday will be the big day at the Wharf Precinct, with the tractor record attempt, street parade, markets and historic displays.
Adding to the weekend, Mildura Paddle Steamers are also running a special cruise from Mildura to Wentworth, which is a pretty fitting way to arrive. After all, this whole story is tied to the river, the flood, the levees, the town and the people who stood up when it mattered.
It should be a great weekend for Wentworth, and a good excuse for locals and visitors to head across, have a squiz, grab a feed, and take in a bit of real river history.
The official Wentworth Flood Rally Facebook page is worth keeping an eye on for updates as the weekend gets closer.
