One of Sunraysia's biggest country events returns this weekend, with the 2026 Merbein Community Rodeo set to take over Kenny Park on Saturday, October 10.
The action gets underway from 7pm at the No. 3 Oval, Kenny Park in Box Street, Merbein, with a big night of bull riding, bronc riding, bareback and barrel racing.
There will be more than $15,000 in prize money up for grabs, helping attract cowboys and cowgirls from across the rodeo circuit for what has become one of Merbein's biggest annual events.
The Merbein Community Rodeo has been running since 2007 and, while it has become well established on the regional rodeo calendar, it remains very much a community-run event.
Local community groups are also involved through food and drink outlets around the ground, giving the night an important fundraising role for groups from across Merbein and the surrounding district.
The event is fully catered, with BYO alcohol not permitted.
With bulls, broncs, barrels and plenty of action under the lights, Kenny Park should once again be one of the busiest places in Merbein this Saturday night.
