Helen Healy returns as Mildura Mayor, Bec Crossling elected Deputy

Cr Helen Healy has been elected Mayor of Mildura Rural City Council for a second time, with Cr Rebecca Crossling elected Deputy Mayor at Council’s Annual Meeting.

Cr Healy, who was first elected Mayor in 2024, takes over from Cr Ali Cupper following her one-year term in the role.

For Cr Healy, the appointment carries particular pride in her Mallee roots.

According to Council’s announcement, she said she was “especially proud to be an Ouyen born and bred Mayor” and would not take the honour lightly.

Cr Healy said she looked forward to working with the community and making every moment count during her time in the role.

The meeting also marked a milestone for Cr Crossling, who was elected to her first term as Deputy Mayor.
