The 2025 Sunraysia Christmas Lights Map is here!

The festive season has officially begun across the Sunraysia region, and whether you live here or are visiting from elsewhere, it’s the perfect time to dust off those scarves 😏 or grab a pair of sunglasses instead and take a magical evening drive with your family to see the Christmas light displays lighting up our towns.

What’s the Christmas Lights Map?

The online map (above) lists addresses across the Sunraysia region, homes, businesses and community buildings that have decorated their properties for Christmas. Parents, kids, grandparents: all are invited to pack into the car and enjoy a relaxed, lights-filled tour under the stars.

If you’ve adorned your home (or know someone who has), there’s still time to get on the map and if you spot a display you love, you can vote for it. The most-decorated addresses will be in the running for gift card prizes from the Mildura City Heart — a nice bonus for those who go the extra mile with their lights. Why Sunraysia is an unbeatable spot for a Christmas lights tour

If there’s one thing that makes Sunraysia special for this kind of festive tradition, it’s the evenings. Around this time of year, the region enjoys warm, mellow nights — perfect for a drive with the family. In December, for example, typical daytime temperatures may hover near the low 30s °C, while nights stay comfortably mild — perfect for sticking around after sunset to admire the twinkling lights.

Combine that with the region’s friendly, community-spirited towns and suburbs, from the rural outskirts through to the heart of Mildura, Victoria and neighboring towns — and you’ve got a recipe for a regional Christmas experience that beats the hustle and bustle of the big city. Add in the charm of riversides, orchard-filled surroundings, and wide open skies, and it’s easy to see why Sunraysia has long been celebrated as “Australia’s sun-drenched heartland.”

Final thoughts: Celebrate community, lights and warm Sunraysia nights

For locals and visitors alike, this year’s Christmas Lights Map offers more than just a pretty view — it’s an invitation to rediscover Sunraysia at night, to share laughter in the car, and to celebrate the simple joys of community, creativity, and seasonal cheer.

With mild evenings, welcoming towns, and twinkling displays all across the region, there’s never been a better time to load up the kids, grab a thermos, and go exploring under the stars.

Wishing you all a bright, safe, and magical festive season — see you out and about in Sunraysia!
